Puccini’s Tosca at Royal Opera House -Stockholm
Puccini’s Tosca has since its premiere in 1900 retained its place as one of the most performed operas. With music that is as brutal as dramatic shimmering beautiful portrayed the singer Tosca and her lover Cavaradossis tragic fates. In a concentrated and passionate days, we follow their inevitable journey to the disaster, orchestrated by the kallsinnige Scarpia. Opera includes everything; passion, lust, betrayal and sudden death, and many of opera arias and duets belong to the repertoire’s most beloved.
The director Knut Hendriksen has made a beautiful and faithful to the period set based on the actual venues in Rome.
